About the event

This course will help dental professionals calibrate their skills on periodontal classification and treatment planning. The presentation will provide a brief overview of the 2017 American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Classifications of Periodontal Disease, and there will be a hands-on application of working through cases that range from gingivitis, reduced periodontium, and active periodontitis. This workshop will help dental professionals walk away with practical skills to better classify and treat their periodontal patients.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify important aspects of the 2017 AAP Guidelines on Periodontal Classifications.

2. Demonstrate how to establish the extent, stage and grade for active periodontitis cases.

3. Recognize how to treatment plan for gingivitis and periodontitis cases.

4. Practice strategies to calibrate your office on periodontal classifications and treatment planning
